Overview

Embark on an incredible adventure as you tackle the Iconic Rim to Rim hike in the Grand Canyon. Starting on the North Kaibab Trail on the North Rim, you'll push yourself to new heights (literally) as you descend 14.3 miles and 6,000 feet to the bottom of the canyon. You'll be in awe of the mesmerizing scenery as you pass through two billion years of Earth's history and eleven layers of ancient rocks. Eventually, you'll reach the Colorado River and be surrounded by dozens of massive rock formations that tower above you.

It's a hike that will test your limits, but the rewards are worth it. At the bottom, take a much-needed rest at Bright Angel Campground and treat yourself to the world-famous lemonade at the Phantom Ranch Canteen. But the adventure doesn't end there. The real challenge lies ahead as you climb 4,500 feet and 9.6 miles out of the canyon on the Bright Angel Trail. The trail may be tough, but the shade, seasonal water sources, and views framed by massive cliffs make it an enjoyable experience. When it's over, you'll stand on the South Rim, knowing that you've seen the Grand Canyon in all its glory.
